Honeymoon Wishes

Your wedding registry. A great concept... you get what you need or want instead of something you will put in the back of the kitchen cupboard, never to see the light of day again. Plus, it's fun to run around the store, registry gun in hand, and create your wish list!

What if you and your fiance are already living together? Chances are, you've got most everything you need. Great news! There is a different way to register. My friend, Sandra, brought this to my attention just today: the Honeymoon Registry. This blows my mind!

Here's how it works: go to Honeymoon Wishes and create your registry. It's free to register - I mention this, because when you sign up, you also get a state-of-the-art Wedding Website and Blog!

Next, add things to your registry! How about a canoe or some camping gear? a night in a luxury hotel? maybe a wine tasting? You can also ask for wedding contributions - funds that go directly to the expense of the wedding. Or, and this is my personal favorite, you can ask for cash that goes towards the down payment on a house!!
Their website says that, on average, each couple receives $2,500 to spend on their honeymoon as they choose.

How's that for a wedding registry?

Glad I could help! Yea, my girl friend's son & fiance' are getting married August 17th & they gave me an invitation! It will be held at her grandmothers farm ~ outdoors! They are even inviting their guests to bring anything from tents or travel trailers to RV's so they can camp over-night & not have to drive home after the party/wedding celebration (good idea if they all want to have a some 'good luck' cheer with the bride and groom!). When I read their Registry @ "www.honeymoonWishes.com" I thought of Bobbi immediately and sent her a link! Starting out in today's economy is especially challenging, so this is a great idea! Happy to see Bobbi agreeing with it; and what a time to consider purchasing a home, before interest rates go back up, and while there is that $8,000. credit for First Time Buyers! Something to seriously consider. Not sure you will always want to live where you are now? Not a problem; when/if you are ready to move, call a good Property Manager and put it up for rent. Investment property. Now that is the American Dream if I ever heard it. Keep up the good work, Bobbi.
